All those tires All those tires

This is an almost incredible tale from The Rome News Tribune way down there in Georgia, USA. Some of those boys appear to have struck gold by creating a process to recycle waste tires. Picture it, all those tires. Tires are everywhere, car tires, truck tires, huge frelling mining equipment tires, all those freaking tires!

The process has been developed by a company called OTR Wheel Engineering

They can, out of one 20 pound car tire, create 5.6 litres of oil, approximately 3.5 kilos of carbon black and a little under a kilo of steel. 85% of the energy needed to recycle the tires comes from the tires themselves. At the end of their process you are left with more available energy than you put in! If thats not cool enough, the machine produces no pollution, just trace amounts of C0² and 200° Fahrenheit air. They call it a positive energy machine; I call it a perpetual money machine! They say one of their machines will process a thousand tires a day and they are setting up for franchising. Sounds like a winner to me.
